Here we are thinking that there’s got to be a Watergate moment  – the 18½ minutes of tape, Deep Throat, the Plumbers – to connect the final dot between the ATF’s Gunwalker scandal and Obama. Nope. Turns out, we just had to go back and watch some C-SPAN reruns, and there it was, straight from the Assistant US District Attorney’s mouth. Obama Ordered ATF’s Gunwalker. Wow. I mean, so we’re clear, the U.S. AG’s office was bragging about Gunwalker as a part of Obama’s “get tough on the border” policy. Or to put it in terms that a Democrat can understand, “he was for it, before he was against it.” Um-hmmm. And he approved it before he tried to distance himself from it.

What was once a lone voice crying in the wilderness, is beginning to snowball into a groundswell Greek chorus of voices calling for putting down the ATF like the rabid dog that it is. And nailing it’s master (that would be Obama) for letting the dog run wild.

I realize nobody watches C-SPAN, but don’t you think it’s gonna be a little hard for the AG’s office to ‘splain this one away?

While we’re at it, we may have cleared up the mystery of what those two agents were doing in-country when they were ambushed by the cartel thugs. Listen carefully, and you’ll see Obama stepped up the presence of American law enforcement inside Mexico.

Anybody else wondering how this is different from Kennedy ordering “advisors” into North Vietnam and claiming we weren’t doing anything suspicious? Or for that matter, how this policy bears a resemblance to the Un-war we seem to now be fighting in Libya?

I’m almost hoping ObamaCare actually works, as I’m gonna need some medical attention for all the whiplash I’m getting from the “Fast and Furious” lies coming out of the administration.

As to your assertion, it will be a piece of cake for bho and even Holder to "'splain it away". Unless the C-SPAN videos show Holder stating publicly that Gunrunner was to smuggle illegal arms into Mexico, they will do what all .gov admins have done since the beginning - find a fall guy and let them swing. What we have here is a massive coverup from the most incompetent, inexperienced group of ideological radicals that rivals Dick Nixon's Watergate scandal in comparison. There's a good chance that Eric Holder lied underoath, very likely with support from the White House. Two Americans are dead because of this program. It's highly unlikely that the media learned of this story before Eric Holder.

The other reason why this story is so huge? The Obama administration and his Democratic minions hate the Second Amendment - the right to bear arms. With a compliant liberal media that's not putting much, if any, attention on Project Gunrunner, there's a tremendous opportunity to get support for new gun laws by lying about the real situation. When it comes to destroying America's values, this White House is always two steps ahead. There's a reason that Fast and Furious has gone under the radar, and the American people, as well as the murder victims, need to know why.

I hope but don't think we'll see it.  At least not a perjury conviction.  The news media hated Nixon so it was easy to hammer him.  BHO is their butt boy and the koolaide is strong so I dunno about much of anything coming out on this.  A lie told often enough and long enough with the conviction of truth will fool the legions of BHO supporters....because, of course, you know he is infallible.

The guys at the top have a conspicuous lack of character and propensity to lie...be it RINO Republican or Democrat.  To make hay on this issue it will have to be driven by the top up.  We need to call and, even more, visit our reps and spread the news because I fear that otherwise this will be swept under the rug.

The only way this going to be an issue (as it should be) is if someone can spin it right. Right now, its about ATF (an agency most folks are vaguely aware of) letting illegal guns get sold in Mexico. Here's the thing. Poll the average American and they lean neutral to slightly negative when it comes to "assault weapons". If they are being honest, they'll admit to feeling the same way about Mexico and Mexicans (unless their name is Suarez). The average voter doesn't give a crap because no one has given them a reason to. If there was a competent opposition party with a halfway decent candidate, we would be hearing a story about the American people being lied to, corruption at the highest levels and total hypocrisy resulting in dead bodies on the streets of one of our closest "allies" (want to be careful with that as it fuels the antis), still, weeping mothers make good TV during impeachment hearings.
