Operation Castaway: Project Gun-runner the sequel?
« on: July 15, 2011, 06:10:08 PM »
I just heard about a similar program like "gun-runner" worked out of Florida sending guns to Honduras. These guns probably ended up in Mexico, too.

Been mentioned a little here as well, as Houston is also developing,....it wasn't just one state.

Shredders are working overtime....Guess why AG Holder was in FL, to "watch the last shuttle launch?",...right after he bee-lined to Tampa to make sure the shredding was going on.

It's all there. Scroll through,.....You'll see just how big this is becoming.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

At least Iran/Contra had a possibility of logic behind it and the Dems went batshit over that.Of course Reagan was a war monger, and sent guns to ANTI communist groups, so he was evil.
Sending them to drug gangs is a totally different matter since in the long run "it's for the children".

So, he said as he tightened his tinfoil hat, do you think the Ds are keeping this default thing front and center to keep the spotlight off of something that is going to be a major can-o-worms for some of their more highly placed members?   :-X

Uh, in case you hadn't noticed Tom, the Contras WERE a drug gang, the politics was just branding. Not saying backing them wasn't a legit option, just that like the IRA, the political objective quickly got sublimated to all that cash they could make dealing in drugs for weapons and  oh yeah, yelling "Libertad" every ten minutes or so in between sips of Crystal to keep the saps in DC happy. ::)

Tom
Honest question. I wrote a conference paper on Contra Drug connections. I lost it in a computer "oopsie", but I can pull out enough to make my point. Question is, do you really want to go there? Because if you do.......we can start talking about Eden Pastora, the 2056 Brigade, Ollie North, the Nugent Hand Bank etc.. Bottom line Tom, just like the French  SDECE used heroin to fund the Vietnam war while it was still French Indo-China and Paris wouldn't pay, the boys at Langley did the same damn thing in Nicaragua. I'm not casting blame here, just telling the truth. Whether you think what they did was justified is a matter of opinion. WHAT they did, that's a matter of record.

First off, If you did research from unbiased resources, such as the trial transcripts of convicted (and murdered ) smuggler, (and DEA informant ) Barry Seal, you would be aware that the Sandinista Govt. had systematized drug transshipment, just like Noriega in Panama. What were the results ? Some where during all that drug smuggling the Contra's found time to force the Sandanista's to hold open, honest elections. Which they lost.
Any organization will produce a certain number of bad apples, for example child molesters among clergy (NOT just Catholics )
You also have the wrong angle on the heroin trade from Indochina.
Because of wartime anti German activities,  as well as their participation in crushing the anti De Gaulle  OAS, the "Union Corse" (Corsican version of the Mafia ) was cut a large amount of slack by the French Govt. this allowed them to, among other things, take over organized crime in several French port cities, particularly Marseille. It also allowed the to heavily infiltrate French police and intelligence services, (The "Action Service" of the SDECE was composed almost entirely of Corsican s )
It was more a case of the Union Corse subverting the SDECE to facilitate their heroin operation.
