Don't some shooters competing for the Porter Trophy at Camp Perry shoot AR's at 1000yds? I know there are several different 'cups' at the matches for service rifles, but I was thinking that three was at least one with AR's at 1000....
That's a long way for a little bullet to stay true to it's path.

"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

I was taught in the military to zero at 25 yards for hits out to 250 yards. But there are different strokes for different folks. But all in all a good video.

I was taught the same with the M14 using standard ball rounds.

What happens is that at 25 yds, the trajectory goes from below the sight line to above it, it continues above it until 250 yrds where it falls below the sight line again.

Under 25 yds, you will shoot very slightly low, between 25 and 250, you will be shooting high and past 250 yds, you will be shooting low again.

Just a question. Why are they called French Poodles when they are a German dog? And why are pommes frites called French fries (or "Freedom Fries" if you are too stupid to be allowed outside without adult supervision ::)) when they are actually Belgian? How did the Frogs get away with swiping a tasty treat and what is actually a pretty good breed of dog if you don't poof it up at a dog groomer (and who uses one of those btw?). It seems to me the French have gotten a free pass on ripping off other peole's stuff. Again. ;)

I actually dated a girl who had a poodle named Toast. I thought it was funny as hell, and I asked her out on the spot. She wasn't the most attractive woman I've ever gone out with, but my instincts were right. Just for the younger forum members, here is a word of advice: If she has a twisted sense of humor, she will be a LOT of fun in sack. 8)

Hey, I had a poodle when I was a kid!

My Dad taught her to flush game too, not a bad mutt either!  We never cut her to the foo-foo clip either, she just looked like a Motown poodle, afro'd out!

Since a 100yd range is the most convenient for me, I just set them to shoot 1.5" high at 100yd.   Should be pretty close on at 200.

Will work for ammo
