Kerry spokesman stripped of Silver Star
Thomas Lifson

FTA: "John Kerry was introduced at the 2004 Democratic National Convention by Wade Sanders, a retired Navy Captain and former Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy who served as a Swift Boat officer in Vietnam.
...
Wade Sanders is now in Federal prison, serving a 37-month sentence for possessing child pornography. Now the Navy Times reports that Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus has revoked Sanders' Silver Star. The highly unusual decision appears unrelated to Sanders' felony conviction. A Navy spokesman cited "subsequently determined facts and evidence surrounding both the incident for which the award was made and the processing of the award itself." John Kerry has to be hoping this doesn't become a trend."

Karma is such a bitch.
"I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do this to others and I require the same from them"

This is weird. If he was a pedophile good for jailing him. But you shouldn't strip a medal if it  was earned, armies aren't made up of saints. I'm curious as to the whole story here.

It's all in the "processing",.....must still be Bush's fault.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

An astounding and strangely satifying liberal respose that is as valid today as it was yesterday.   ;D

Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.

Just a guess but maybe a lack of character due to a perverted interest in child porn justified revoking hid decoration.

Being guilty of child pornography, a bullet to the base of the skull should be the "rest of the story"...........   >:(
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

Agreed, but it doesn't change what you did on the battlefield back in the day. A child molester, but a brave one I guess? :-\ I suppose my point is that medals awarded for specific acts should only be revoked if they were awarded fraudulently, not because it turns out in retrospect that they were awarded to a rat bastard.
