She has set herself up as an obvious tipping point.   I would think her local mosque would be guarding her house at this point.  The last thing they want is  for her to be killed and start a jihad against them.

That would be telling.

Most of the actions of Jihadists have the goal of just that...to start an all out war against Islam.  Their beliefs tell them that when they can bring that about Allah will enter the fray and defeat all their opponents bringing about the prophesied world domination of Islam.

That the local mosque doesn't see that as a good thing is a good thing.....if only they would stop the teaching of that world domination tenant, it would be meaningful.

Sort of explains why trying for peace with a true Islamic entity is futile.   They want and work for total all out war...that is their goal.

Look, its the Trotsky/Che view of revolution. What did it get them? Lenin had Trotsky whacked with a pick axe in Mexico, and Castro sent Che to die in a ditch in Bolivia. Revolutionaries outlive their usefulness after the revolution is won, and you actually need to start governing. The same is true of Islam. Look at Iran, the revolutionaries are lauded as martyrs, but its the practical guys who are calling the shots in Tehran. They (the ones in power) don't want all out war. They want an adjustment of the status quo that benefits them, but after the Iran Iraq War, they've had their bellyfull of anything beyond marginal gains. Its the ones out of power who have nothing to lose, who take the Trotsky/Che approach that the worse things get, the better it is as you are creating the grounds for a revolution. However, Che and Trotsky are dead, and its because cooler heads decided they preferred the status quo. I think that it will be the same with Islam. Its easy to praise a suicide bomber, but who is going to put the explosive vest on? Not the guys in power.

Sort of off topic ( surprise    ) but FQ wildly over simplified the conflict between Trotsky and Stalin.
Leon Trotsky was far more than a Che style trouble maker, and his revolutionary activities had nothing to do with Stalins hatred of him.
Trotsky, with no previous military experience took command of the Red revolutionary forces and built the Red Army from them, He was Lenin's hand picked successor and one of the few surviving Bolsheviks who was aware that Stalin had been an Okrana informant.
That was why he was exiled, to prevent him from challenging Stalin's power grab, but when he started writing from abroad that changed and he had to die.
You are right how ever about Che.
The darling of college students world wide, he had become an embarrassment, He attempted to spread revolution to the Dominican Republic and failed bloodily, He attempted to spread revolution to Africa, and failed bloodily, humiliating the Cuban military in the process. To get him out of his hair Castro sent him to Bolivia where he wandered around in the jungles uselessly until his East German KGB agent girl friend sold him out and finely got him killed, removing a PITA and creating a useful martyr to the cause.
