All three Colt Government rimfire models are dedicated .22 L.R.s, but they're engineered in true replica form with fully functioning thumb and grip safeties and the 1911's authentic half-cock mechanism. Umarex was the outfit that had such bad reports about their "Colt" AR .22, something about the receiver breaking from the "stress" of a .22.

I just wish someone would make a 1911 .22 out of STEEL like the original Colt Ace, instead of all of this Aluminum crap. Even the new Browning 1911 .22 is all Aluminum. An Aluminum frame is one thing, but Aluminum slides are very prone to cracking. The Walther P-22 is famous, or rather infamous for this.  Bill T.

This is one time where I'm willing to take the chance.........if the spare scratch comes along.....but alas it is on the back burner with the rest of the guns I want.
