America 2.0
« on: August 07, 2011, 08:16:14 PM »
With all of the discussions on this board lately about the current state of affairs, the abuses, the gummint perversions, etc., I thought I would raise the question here as to what re’ America 2.0 means to you. America 2.0 – what happens next, after bho runs us into the ground, after the Chinese extract their pound of flesh, after the NWO takes over in some fashion, be it a real one-world gummint or just imposition of the UN’s Agenda 21. This is a difficult subject, as it involves discussions of things perhaps left unsaid in the presence of .gov trolls and the like, but it has been on my mind a lot of late.

This issue came to a head for me this past week as I lolled (and walked!) around MCRD San Diego and watched as 255 young men became US Marines, my son included. Friday morning, at Morning Colors, the CO for the Western Recruiting District, General Yoo, spoke very eloquently about what this day meant for the Marines and especially for us, the parents. Tons of brass there, including a retired Lt. General who was the Review Officer for the graduation. Lots of patriotism too, driven home by the wonderful Marine ceremonies conducted Thursday and Friday – including having the Company 1st Sgt. whip a bunch of out of shape Moms, Dads, Grandmas and Grandpas into Marine shape yelling Yes Sir! and Click Sir! and Freeze! at the top of our lungs. 

OK, back to the topic – America 2.0.

It is apparent that a number of us see this country being driven into 3rd world status. We can argue whether it is intentional or a by-product of evil corporate greed, but it is clear it is happening. And that is the premise – not why, but what’s next?

I posted last week in the WWII thread about the economic might of America, what we as a single nation did, and even I who knew all of this stuff gasped when I saw that list – an abbreviated list at that – and what we accomplished as a nation when we needed and wanted to. However, that power has been destroyed. We could no more build 46,00 Sherman tanks today, let alone the other stuff, than we could put a man back on the moon by the end of this year – something we routinely did at one point. We have lost not only the will in some cases, but also the physical capability to do great things.

Manufacturing is all but gone, food production is coming more and more under the iron fist of .gov, rights and liberties continue to be eliminated in practice every day, the rule of law is all but gone, replaced by imperial edicts and blatantly illegal actions from Washington, state capitols and even local .govs. And the sheeple remain generally quiescent in the face of all this.

So the question to all of you is this –what do we do next? How do we pick up the pieces and put some semblance of this country aright in a new form I am calling America 2.0? I am interested in your ideas and thoughts as to what to address, how to address the changes, re-directions of energy and effort, priorities, etc. This is not a joke, nor a place for snarky or smart-ass comments, but a genuine desire to find out what kind of road maps we see for ourselves, our families and our communities.

What does America 2.0 look like? What changes do we need to make to the original idea of America to prevent the current scenarios and abuses from ever being re-created?

How far ahead are you talking?

Here?  George Soros: “America Should Be Replaced By a World Government With a Global Currency Under UN Rule”   http://www.realnewsreporter.com/?p=2148

Not long followed by a little story that involves a white horse, a red horse, a black horse, and a pale horse...

Now how far down the rabbit hole do you wanna go?

Dictatorship ALWAYS follows the collapse of democracies, most will go quietly into the cattle cars, the rest of us will be hunted down and killed.
It is what we deserve for allowing it to happen.

The economy is in the worst shambles since the Revolution,We are having our rights undermined by "policy" and Executive orders, federal agencies are engaging in racketeering to generate anti 2A propaganda, the Govt refuses to secure our borders, and when States try to fill the gap by enforcing federal law the president goes to the UN for assistance in punishing them, the same govt refuses to take effective action against a repeatedly proven threat from domestic Muslims while labeling peaceful tax protesters and all other peaceful opponents as terrorists, and you still think we have to worry about FOREIGN threats ?
Are you stupid ?

With enough problems here in our own borders to worry about times 10, we STILL can't keep our noses out of other country's business (how many many wars are we in?).  We should have an EMP dropped on us!

The citizens here are to worthless to do anything about US governments out of control behavior...  I can't wait for China to step on us!  Those who are surprised when it happens will get exactly what they deserve.   >:(

Sounds like we are both on the same page.
The only thing that can save America is something like that or the "Flu pandemic" the CDC keeps promising.

No answers so far. If I understand the both of you, the only way anything will change is through a huge disaster of some sort like an EMP attack ala Lights Out or One Second After, a deadly medical pandemic, or even a planned series of localized attacks ala Jericho. I was thinking a scenario more along the lines of Rawles' Patriots, with a socio-politico-economic breakdown and collapse, but Tom's point of a dictator at the point of collapse to "save" civilization is a possibility.

This all conjecture on how we end. I was asking about rebuilding after the "end". Tom raised some topics that need to be addressed:
- economic controls in a free market system
- clearer and more effective citizen controls on government
- restricting immigration
- limiting the effects of international treaties
- controlling internal threats (see the second item above - these 2 appear to be incompatible with each other)
- education to prevent "worthless" citizens from being "educated" ala the current crop of sheeple
- etc.

If we go back and read The Constitution and the Bill of Rights, we have a pretty good outline of how things should be put together.  The cautionary note here is that we (or our progeny) must not let the sheeple usurp the government for their own ends and riches.  We already know how that turns out, and it ain't pretty.

Even at a ball game, when someone talks during the anthem or doesn’t take off his hat, it pisses me off. I’m not one to be quiet about it, either.”  Chris Kyle

My thought on the Constitution precisely, except the abuses we have came under the Constitution - look at the mis-understanding of the 2A. I would rewrite the 2A to say something like the right of the American citizen to own and carry firearms will not be limited by anyone. That would make it clear and provide no future form of gummint with any means to pass laws that would infringe that right.

We would also need to have something in the Constitution that does away with the whole "incorporation" argument that kept the 2A from being applied.

Also, the fear of a UN treaty being adopted that would limit the American citizens is based in the Constitutions very statement that any treaty adopted has the power of law in the US. So that would also need to be amended to read something like "unless such treaty would violate the rights and liberty of the American citizen."

And so on. Thoughts?
