TRUTH!  Yet...  An improved, better quality Kel-Tec copy imo.

I looked at LOTS of Kel-Tec's at the gun show I bought my LCP at.  To me, the machining / casting on all the Kel-Tec's looked like it may have been done by a 4yr old blind girl high on cough syrup.   :(

At 1/10th the price of the Ruger...  They may be a good value.  I haven't seen them at that price yet.

OKAY THE OLD MAN HAS A RANGE REPORT on the..........uh.............LCP....The Ruger --- you know.

Put 50 rounds of Winchester white box, truncated nose ammo through it today.  Loaded one in the chamber and 6 in the mag....no hiccups what so ever.   Fired as fast as I could load the magazine.   The magazine feels firmly secure (on the Taurus it felt like it could pop out at any time).    Half the rounds fire with the left hand and half with the right.   Finshed with 6 rounds of Master Arms hollowpoint sd ammo.

I feel a lot better about the Ruger than I did about the Taurus.   Sorry Ruger for doubting you.

What would make it about perfect:  A spare magazine, change the carrying case out to one like Taurus has - a CCW pouch, and a slide hold-open would be nice.

I've done with Taurus now.  Tried'm didn't work.

Big +1 on that!  ;)

If I may suggest.  On the bottom of the slide, right down the middle is a contact strip (sorry, don't know what else to call it), that pushes back the hammer after each shot.  If you polish that "contact strip" out, the gun cycles MUUUUCH smoother!  You'll notice the improvement big time!   ;)

Which model did you get?  There are a few cosmetically different ones out there now.


The "hard chrome" finish lives up to its name, NO JOKE!  Took FOREVER to polish the outside of the chamber and the contact surface on the bottom of the slide.  Shines like glass now though.  :)

Are you saying that yours only came with one mag ALF?
Is that how they ship them now?
Mine came with two mags when they first came out.

Mine came with two mags when they first came out.

I think the second mag was to "make Nice" because of the recall.  You got it even if the recall fix was done on your gun before you purchased it.

Mine went that way...both of them.

I just bought mine last fall.  It only came with one mag..  That's all that's on the BOM on the side of the box to.  :-\

Either way, the LCP is a "refined" Kel-Tec,...smoother, slicker, and has a slide stop....

The major points to both are reliability, and concealment. It is what "mouseguns", aka pocket pistols are:

If not used as a BUG, and is loaded with top shelf, tested for reliability, .380 ammo, an adequate, carry weapon.

4 rds. at 5yds, of Golden Sabre's, Hornady, etc,..will be an attitude adj. for BG's.

Zombies??? maybe not,....but it will hold them off long enough to get to bigger stuff.. ;)

Why carry or even own an LCP when there are so many other guns that can do the job soooooooooooo much better?
