Dow soars 423 points on economic news

That was today's headline.
Sure sounds great !
It's bullshit.
The Dow only recovered 2/3 of the 600 points it lost yesterday.
The headlines are being phrased to calm the stupid, but if you have a memory span of more than 24 hours the general trend is downwards. The Dow is dropping about 200 points a week.

I think that they should start posting the actual value of the stock market instead of showing it in points. I think people would be more upset if they realized just how much actual wealth is in our stock market, and how much they have to lose. People understand that they have money there via retirement accounts. What they don't tell you is that just last week, the U.S. lost almost 2 trillion dollars in stock losses. That comes out to approx 6667.00 for every person in the U.S. This is in direct response to the so called debt deal.

God grant that I may not be found wanting,
that I will not fail this sacred trust.

The stock market is bi-polar at this point.....One fart from Bernanke, or Bank Of Europe, or OPEC quote, will trash it again.....

Check Goldman Sachs memo regarding QE3,....you'll have to google fu it, I lost the link at the moment.

The market rise Mon. was on that "speculation".....Reality hit Tues.....and it crashed again,....Now its up,....kinda hard to get a warm fuzzy with these guys....

Better off with Vegas.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

A couple other things to watch, no matter what they claim for unemployment figures the number stays right around an admitted 9.2 %, it's been there for a couple years now.
Second, the numbers they announce are BS. 3 or 4 months from now there will be a little story on page 12 that "the numbers for 2nd quarter earnings, and employment have been revised" usually due to "accounting errors" or some other crap.
The point is, they lie now and admit it when they think you will have forgotten.
Of course unemployment is down to 9.2 % now.   ::)

Yes, it if weren't for the stimulus it would only be 7.5%.
That would put us down there near the Mexicans.

Ever notice how the "experts" are surprised every single time economic numbers come out?  At what point do they stop being called "experts" and start being called "idiots"?

Even the Mex's can't get jobs here.

The unemployment rate in the Yuba-Sutter area rose slightly in June as a harvest season pushed back by the cooler weather meant no additional farming jobs to the region last month, according to a report by the state's Employment Development Department released Friday.

Sutter County's unemployment rate remained unchanged at 20 percent, the second highest in the state behind only Imperial at 28.5 percent. Yuba County's increased from 17 in May to 18.3 percent last month.

Colusa County's unemployment rate increased 1 point to 19.1 percent in June, fourth highest in the state.

California added tens of thousands of jobs in June, but the economy continues to show a split personality, with strong gains in Silicon Valley and much weaker performance elsewhere.

That's right.  It's a sucker punch.

Throw some money into that stock market and watch it go up, up, up, .....now,.... you hear?

Or Bwhore can open his mouth again, cheerlead, spew some bull$hit and the immediate crash will rank in the top 10 of all time...again.
