WTF

So, I'm just about to go up to bed. The neighbor texts me and asks if I just got home. He said a car just came up my drive with the lights off.

Now, this intrigued me. I retrieved my shotgun and decided to investigate. For some reason they didn't want to stick around to chat. They left in quite a hurry. Some people have no manners.  ;D

I don't know if it was kids screwing around or someone casing the house. They had parked in the shadow of a pine tree half on, half off the driveway facing the house. I guess I won't sleep well tonight.  ???

I have been getting a little lax in not carrying all the time. This did serve as a bit of a wake up call.

I didn't think of it last night when I first saw this but grab a piece of paper NOW and write down everything you can remember - time, vehicle description, any description of the occupants, etc., what they did, how they did it.

Good chance of that.   Especially if the shadowed parking place was the first one providing protection from being seen from the road.

I'd still look into a driveway alarm and maybe borrow a buddies night vision scope for a few weeks if you don't  have one.

Driveway alarm and a big@ss spotlight on a remote switch can do a world of good.

OK. So last night I grabbed the 12g. Tonight I put out some claymores. I mean, the claymores do everything the 12g can but so much better.  ;D

My driveway is about 100yds long. I'll have to look into the driveway sensors. I have outdoor floods but they are on a switch.

Tonight I'm just sitting with the lights out, truck is in the garage. God bless them if they think no one is home.  ;)
