I haven't tried that one, but it's now on my list.  I've pretty much given up on the under $100 ones as unreliable or inaccurate.  Not saying there isn't one out there, I just haven't found it and I've gone through 4 different brands.   Ultradot looks promising especially the L/T model.

IMHO, the fewer gadgets (changeable dots) the better on these things, but the higher end brands may work better.  If you get it let us know what you think.   Right now I have an NcStar on my Buckmark and I don't trust it entirely.   Then again, I have put enough rounds down range with it to be sure one way or the other.   Soon though.

Will work for ammo

For under $100, you can't go wrong with Primary Arms Micro Dot http://primaryarms.com/product.sc?productId=1005&categoryId=419. It is $75.00 + s/h. I have one of these and a Burris Fastfire II, while I like them both, the PA gets the nod for $$$. The Burris has a more round dot, but the PA dot is green, making it brighter in sunlight. Both have auto brightness levels, PA has auto on/off. Other than that, they are pretty much the same, I believe they even use the same bases ( I need to verify this). Can't go wrong with either.

I am  little frugal so I use a BSA red dot. I have for the last six years, 3 MOA  with multi reticle options and brightness. I do not have auto shut off if I forget to tun it off I change out the battery and am pleased with its performance. You can find them on sale occasionally for 29.99 instead of the normal 49.99 to 99.99 they tend to sell for.

I have a similar style to what you are talking about but mine is a Tasco. My wife bought it for ma a few years ago at wally world for $40 or so. It works very well on my Buck Mark Target model and still has the original battery.
I have also used it on a few .22 rifles from time to time and it has dome well.
