Sarah Brady Attacks Rick Perry

I got this in email yesterday from our friend Sarah Brady.................................

Dear Tom,

Is this the type of President the American public wants?

When asked if he was armed on the campaign trail, Texas Governor Rick Perry smiled and replied, "That’s why it’s called concealed."

That's something I preach in my CCW classes.

Stop this extremism before it reaches the White House!

The Republican primary campaign has hardly begun and already it is being dominated by extremists. None as scary as Rick Perry who brazenly carries weapons — concealed and revealed. Even on the campaign trail!

Gee, a candidate who is willing to take responsibility for himself and his own safety.  I don't call that brazen, I call it refreshing!!

Only an egotistical extremist would carry a loaded weapon into a crowd — encouraging others to do so.

Apparently Mrs. Brady considers Secret Service Agents and other LEOs to be "egotistical extremists".

Is this where America is headed? Is this the America you want for our nation’s children?

If it's headed toward personal responsibility then I certainly HOPE this is where America is headed.  And yes, this IS the America I want for our children.  Personal responsibility.....what a concept!!

Polls prove over and over again that Americans support sensible gun laws and don’t want guns in public places. Our goal is for our elected officials to reflect the will of the American people, not the "guns everywhere" ideologues.

Apparently Sarah and I are looking at different polls.

Please help us with a donation today to stop gun extremists before it is too late.

You know, I'm not sold on Perry, probably because he gives off the same "used car salesman" vibe as Rommney (though to a much smaller degree), but if Sarah hates him this much? Hell that's a million dollar endorsement as far as I'm concerned. Carrying a weapon in a crowd makes you an extremist? Gee Sarah, what's your plan when that crowd turns hostile? A well timed bon mot? How about I fly you to London?

I'm not sold on Perry yet either.  I think I remember they tried to do a recall or something on him years ago to try and get him out of office.  Anybody else remember that??

Sarah Brady is a bitter old bat hating an object for her husbands injury.  Anything she has to say about Rick Perry or any other subject is irrelevant. The only good thing I can say about her is that she has stuck by Jim Brady all these years and that can't have been easy.
