Not that integrity would be a consideration for the reformation of an American Icon that's puting the quality back in their product, and America back to work. I'm glad I bought Toyota.

Soooo, all I have to do is change my name and I'm no longer responsible for the actions done under my old name?  Sweeet.

It works for corporate America. A few years ago I bought a computer and extended warranty from Comp USA. They were bought out, but kept the name and changed their sign from red to blue. I go in for warranty work and am told I'd have to mail the computer off as they are now a different company and wouldn't honor the service plan. After a few choice words, promising small claims action I walk out. I leaned it was all legal thanks to GOP legislation limiting corporate liability. You can buy the name and the assets, but you don't have to assume the obligations when you do. Gee, do think some money might have changed hands in DC? The corporation gets the benefit of brand recognition, the customers get screwed on what they bought. I haven't darkened Comp USA's door since and I never will.

FQ, this has been going on in business for decades, back in the 50's Sidewallers, and builders both were making outrageous claims, (asbestos siding is A bomb proof ) and then after a couple months they would change the name and shuffle the names of the owner treasurer etc, and all the promises were history.
ACORN has been doing the same thing since all their indictments in the '08 election, shuffle the leadership, change the name and poof, they aren't criminals any more.

Yep....Just ask ACORN....Coming to a polling place in your town for 2012.....

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.
