Loss of touch with reality
« on: August 26, 2011, 04:01:16 PM »
How out of touch with the severity of our problems and reality is Pres. BHO?

Today he said he is cutting his vacation short, and he is returning to Washington DC tonight (Friday).  He will be flying back on Air Force One, so he is in his office to handle possible issues that may come up as the storm hits the east coast.

Sounds good, right???

The queen and princesses are not returning with the Pres.!  They will fly to Washington DC on a private jet on Sunday, at the scheduled end of the vacation.

How much are we spending for them to split their return in terms of extra travel expenses and all that goes with having members of the First Family on the road?

I know that in terms of our fiscal disaster this is tiny, but we are not going to fix the issues with a few big items.  It has even been shown what massive tax increases or even confiscation of personal wealth would and would not do.  We need to approach this like the old instructions of eating an elephant - one little bite at a time!  How many little bites does the Pres. put back in place with all these little family excursions that are split up like this?

A scarier question is whether Pres. BHO is in this as a public servant (I'm sure that is a racist question that will be tied to slavery),or how much of his little ego trip is a string of social ops for the queen and princesses?

Another consideration, Washington is projected to be one of the harder hit areas.
In other words when the East coast is most likely to need his questionable abilities he will be just as screwed as every one else.

In other words:  If this were Reagan, or Bush the Secret Service and his advisers would put him somewhere safe where he could provide moral support and direct operations rather than leaving him in a place where they will have to monitor his safety and well being.

Maybe there are some thinking people behind the scenes  ::)

I have always wondered what goes through the mind of the secret service at times. Especially when their subject is a total ass clown. I know that you are supposed to remain detached from the person you are protecting, but really, who doesn't know who the president is. I know if it were me, I would have a hard time taking a bullet for BHO, or anyone associated with him for that matter.
I am a member of my nation's chosen soldiery.
God grant that I may not be found wanting,
that I will not fail this sacred trust.

Maybe they plan on drowning him in one of the flooded streets ?
We can hope  ;D
The words "President Joe Biden" do not scare me nearly as much as they used to.

WTF?  Does he think that placing himself in the hurricanes path it will magically change directions?  All disaster planning and relief are done at the state/local/FEMA level.  All he can really do is unleash FEMA and/or declare it a Federal Disaster Area (and IMHO D.C. already is) after the fact.  I guess he is afraid of bad press ala Bush/Katrina (which, by the way, is a joke as W didn't want to land in N.O. as that would have pulled vital resources away from the rescue).

Whatta putz.

Another racist comment, and I admit this is racist:  His flying back to an area due to be hit is akin to those in NO that refused to leave and demanded saving even after they had plenty of time to leave on their own.

Latest word from AP is that the BHOette's (sorry M'ette) are returning to DC with daddy tonight.  I'm sure that at some point Michelle will let us know how the family sacrificed their personal time (been there since the 18th, and they are returning one day early) in the best interest of the nation.

read today that the gov. is being sued to release the cost figures (which they have refused to do) of Mickey and the Kids Excellent Vacation recently.

The premise of the post is flawed, because it makes the assumption that they were ever IN touch with reality.
