I was thinking the same thing.
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington. Letter to Alexander Hamilton, Friday, May 02, 1783

Apparently at least a couple of them did, or this would not have come to the attention of LE.

This asshat gives ALL of us who are NRA-certified a black eye.  I hope they hang his ass out to dry.

happens more often then you think, even sheriffs do it.  the last sac county sheriff, issued a total of 6 CCW to non leo/doj.  out of the 6, 4  were convicted felons, but had ties to the sheriff that were either political or $$$$
I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.

When you get right down to it, sheriffs are politicians (at least in PA, where they are elected).  In that case, being "a liar, cheat and swindler" are resume enhancements.

And that's the rest of the problem....

It's the fault of the voters who vote with out doing the slightest bit of research or based on what's in it for them.

I am going to put the blame on the instructor and give the students a pass.  The reason you take the class is to gain the information, and details of the instructional requirements are not always that easy to find.  In Minnesota the instructor and course details are vague enough that it takes most instructors multiple tries to get their course approved, and BCA will tell you where you are lacking, but they do not tell you what they want.

This is the reason I like to take classes with multiple instructors.  When there is a difference I can question them, and if I don't like the answers I can dig deeper.
If I appear taller than other men it is because I am standing on the shoulders of others.
