Having his Martha's Vineyard vacation inconviently interrupted by Hurricane Irene, announcing the re-appointment of Bernenke and giving a eulogy for Ted Kennedy, POTUS is taking a brief respite at Camp David.   I wish I could get a vacation every 10 days.

And speaking of irony........well actually I'm not sure what happened, but I would guess he insisted on the helicopter trip because he's the "won".  And guess what, Camp David was closed due to weather.   They had to divert to another location and "bus" him in.

I know this is a high stress position, it demands much on him mentally and physically, and I know he has a young family in which his position of primary sperm donor has not been questioned.  I am as big a promoter as anyone for balance and personal priority at work.  Myself, I mess on here during the work day, but it is because I have projects going, there are time lags, and I am either making personal calls or answering emails and phone calls for12 hours on the average Monday - Friday and at least eight more hours on the weekend.  I take breaks to mess with fun stuff, and I mess on here while waiting for answers when I get so many projects out there I don't dare start another.

All of that stated, Pres. BHO not only took this position of his own free will, he fought hard for it and devoted many hours and dollars to securing it.  He knew what he was doing, and he promised us he was the best for the position.  How does the Commander in Chief take on this roll and demand union level family time allowances in his job while he sends family men and women overseas to risk their lives with no hope of seeing their families for a year or more, and the all to certain risk that they will never come back.

Mr. Pres., Get your butt back to your office, and do your frickin job!  The 2008 election was not about putting your wife at the top of the social list or providing a rare educational experience for your spawn!

Reminds me of the story of the "Affirmative action" employee who was being canned for absenteeism and poor work.
He claimed he was being fired cuz he was black.

Actually I prefer when he is on vacation providing he isn't doing anything to affect the country.

Matter of fact, I'd not mind him getting another term if he spend the whole 4 years on that type of vacation.  His wasted salary would be a small price to pay for the damage we avoid by not having him touch anything.

Just celebrated 27 years on 9/1/11....never been on a honeymoon!

It's called life.....I get some time off from time to time but it rarely involves relaxation!
