HELP KIMBER

At the moment i am considering one of these models please give me your good or bad views please

.22 rimfire super
9mm or 45 stainless target 11
9mm custom aegis 11
9mm or 45 team match 11

All are Kimber

Seriously, does Kimber sell anything for less than a grand? Besides a conversion kit?

After the cost of whichever you choose, I'd get the .22 or 9mm,.... ammo at least won't hurt so much,...

How about a Buckmark Stainless, and a palate of ammo for $1200? ::)

Or a Para 9mm and $400 worth of ammo....with range and holster money left over...???

Either way, Kimber is top shelf, I have heard a teeny tiny bit of some finicky"ness" with certain ammo, and components, but Kimber CS makes it right.

I'm sure others will chime in.

I've never owned one myself, but I knew a guy with a Kimber .22 and he had a lot of trouble with it jamming.

I have a Stainless Target Custom II in 9mm.  It has been trouble free and more accurate than I am.  My only ding against it is the fact that it is a steel frame.  It is a bit of overkill for a 9mm range gun (IMHO) as an aluminum frame will handle the recoil just fine.  Since you didn't say what role this gun is to fill, I'll assume range work as you have a .22LR on the list.  

With that in mind, and sticking to the list, and since it's your money and not mine, I'd go with the Aegis Custom.  It's lighter, has features that I like (checkered front strap, single sided safety, low mount sights, memory bump grip safety), will be cheaper to feed and will serve you well.  You can always buy a .22LR conversion kit later.

I have a custom II .45 and it's great. I've never had any problems with it and it shoots as close to the same as my friend's super match as I have ever seen for much less money.

Got to shoot one. Really smooth. Would love to own one myself some day. If you can afford it and like it, buy it.

I have an Ultra Carry 2 that cost less than a grand, about $800 if I remember correctly, but I have had it for a few years now.  It has been a great carry gun, and ultra reliable as well.  In fact, I usually can shoot it better than my full sized Colt!

but it is difficult over here in Northern Ireland to get any Kimbers at all
Has anyone seeing this have any of these models.
Its use would be for range targets.
