Today, in a surprise move by the state House Leadership, Senate Bill 88 was brought up for a vote.  The state House voted to override the Governor’s veto of SB 88 by a 251 to 111 vote.  Last week, the state Senate overrode the Governor’s veto by a 17 to 7 vote.  SB 88 is now law and will go into effect in sixty days.

Senate Bill 88 would restore the right of self-defense in New Hampshire and establish that the law-abiding have the right to defend themselves from assault wherever they have a legal right to be when they believe there is an imminent threat to their life and well being.

On July 13, Governor John Lynch vetoed this common-sense legislation that 28 states across the country have enacted with broad bipartisan support.  SB 88 originally passed overwhelmingly in both chambers – in the state House by a 283 to 89 vote and in the state Senate by a 19 to 5 vote.

Sounds like Governor John Lynch needs time off, like the rest of his life, from public service screwing.
Then he could reflect on how out of touch with reality he is.

Lynch is POS.
Until the last election he had a Dem majority for 6 years and spent the state into a serious hole, the only tax or fee they did not raise was resident CCW permits.
He almost killed our tourism industry by raising the rooms and meals tax and applying it to campgrounds.
The current Rep. majority in both houses has overturned about half of the stuff he passed, everything he vetoed that has been reintroduced has gone through.
Typical dem, we have a State mandated private fund that Dr's and hospitals pay into to cover the cost of malpractice settlements.
The State law says any excess funds go back to those who paid in. It has a surplus of $110 Million .
He has been trying for 3 years to steal it, despite the State SC ruling he had no claim. His reason ?
The State needs it more than the people it legally belongs to.

Either his clone or the Vulcan Mind Meld is currently in the White House.
