What you apparently don't get it that the rest of us on here are as well, at least the ones who still have jobs.
HUH?
What I am saying, "let me be clear", is money leaves the private sector (where REAL wealth is generated) in the form of taxes and doesn't return to the private sector (in any measureable way).
I pay taxes, just not quarterly because I am an employee.  I have never owned a company but hope to one day (if there is any incentive left).

Really?  How many poor people employ others or how many poor people have you worked for?  That money going up to D.C. is LEAVING the private sector and it ain't coming back.  I'm just a working stiff and have never filed a quaterly anything but I get it and so should you.

I think you missed my point. While I applaud TAB for doing well, and making a good living for his company, his employees, and his family. This is not the venue in which to spout off about how much you make. Guaranteed, that if he is having to pay 5 figure taxes, he is filing on profits of 6 figures.

My point is that when so many people (many here and TAB knows it) are struggling just to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table, it is extremely inappropriate for him to come in here and bitch because he is doing so well.

The fact is I DO get it. As I am in the same boat as TAB. So I know how it works. However I also know tact, and humility. Which is why I went off. Not because I don't understand the consequences of where the money goes.

I am giving TAB a bit of a pass however, because I think the lack of sleep due to his new fatherhood is starting to eat his brain. Plus living in Kalifornistan has never helped.  ::)

Whew!   ;)  Sorry for jumping to conclusions, I have adopted the "No shrug policy" on taxation too.
