I had a salesman stop by last month and spout the same "Upgrade your system to the new laws coming out". (I had an ADT sign in front of the house). Upon my asking "What are the new laws exactly?", I got a bunch of, um, uhhh, well.. I then told them "Well I had better call ADT then, as my system was installed YESTERDAY. (no joke). Nothing but a sales tactic.
