At one point about 2 years ago, several cars in a public parking lot near where I work had the catalytic converters stolen in broad daylight while the owners were at work. The theives cut the converters out from under the cars and were selling them at the scrap yards for the metals in the converters.
"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." [Samuel Adams]

I sold a couple catalytic converters and I think I got $20 for one and $40 for the other one. When you look inside the cheap one was only 1/2 full of stuff so it was worth 1/2 as much. That's hardly worth stealing.

"I'm sorry" might be a good place to start.   ;D
But I suppose it's a valid excuse, you need to remember though," variety is the spice of life".

Es gibt keine Notwendigkeit zu befürchten, Underdog hier ist.
Great nations rise and fall. The people go from bondage to spiritual truth, to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back again to bondage.
