I kind of converted her while we were dating to always carry a knife,  its not about SD, its about having a very handy tool with you at all times.  you never know when you are going to need it.

I've got one of those too as well as a Blur for daily carry, my Leek is my "dress up" knife of choice.  Damn thing is sharp as a razor after nearly a year!

I have a Kershaw scallion , but with the aluminum scales, not the plastic. Nice knife that is always with me. Holds a great edge too.

I also have been impressed with the edge holding quality of my Kershaw .
They seem to use a really good steel in their blades and they seem to have gotten the heat treat process down pat.

Got the Kershaw Multi-Tool, a few years back, off the Snap-On truck at work, holding up great. They make good stuff.

I have the scalon and a leek.    my leek is smooth side, the scalon is the black plastic sides.  Its my EDC knife.  I went with the black plastic for better grip.  Had it for years.  It was my smooth side scalon that my wife took commondeared barrows.  ;D

I have a couple Kershaws.  The Leek is one of my EDCK and a smaller size (not sure which one) just to have something when I dress for church.  Easy open for me cause I can't open a Spyderco type.
