Ken Doll Romney, Has To Be PUSHED To The Right.
« on: October 29, 2011, 12:12:38 PM »
Just another example of The Mittster saying one thing, realizing "gee that was stupid",. then reversing himself. Real principled, real stick to your guns guy. I can't stand this guy.

In June: “I believe the world is getting warmer, and I believe that humans have contributed to that,” he said. “It’s important for us to reduce our emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases that may be significant contributors.”

Thursday: “My view is that we don‘t know what’s causing climate change on this planet,” he told an audience at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pa. “And the idea of spending trillions and trillions of dollars to try to reduce CO2 emissions is not the right course for us. My view with regards to energy policy is pretty straightforward: I want us to become energy secure and independent of the oil cartels.”

Yet the Establishment Republicans, the RINO's, the "moderates", the way the political game is rigged, the pundits and talking heads, all believe, in the end, that the Mittster will be the Rep. Nominee in 2012.

Know who else was a Masshole Gov?  Michael "Beetle Bailey in a Tank" Dukakis.

Why am I having McCain flashbacks and getting a headache? >:(
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

Why push him right?  He will spring right back to his normal centralist principals if he gets the nomination.  Its his nature and we can't change that.  We need to look for the most conservative candidate and support him through the primaries, after that the nominee will have to be supported.  A freakin' ham sandwich would be better than the current POTUS...

Got to wonder about the Republican Party this coming election. An incumbent with approval ratings in the low 40s, 9% unemployment, protest movements in the streets, big majorities think the country is going in the wrong direction, and the GOP seems to be doing everything in its power to shoot itself in the foot and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

I think at this point I'm going to bet on Obama being reelected. That looks like the most likely outcome.

Rocasalami, you are right. Welcome to DRTV. There is a firewall of establishment Republicans, that do not want a candidate that "rocks the boat too much"... The inside the beltway power, of both parties, kinda likes the system the way it is, regardless of its flaws or political leanings. Pork, drama, filibusters, and partisan politics, with a strong lobbying influence, are just the rolling of the dice, at our expense, and our tax dollars.

The Herman Cain numbers scare them.

The focus will be to make Romney the nominee. Sit down, shut up, vote the way we tell you because that's the game. It may all be against BHO, but the "replacements" are just as bad.

I'm even starting to like Newt more...

One of the blogs put it very nicely today--"The difference between Romney and Obama is that Romney is 1/2 less black."

Magoo--Romney is anything but "centralist" (sic).

What the pundits refer to as "Centralist" nowadays would have been "blacklisted by HUAC.
What is now referred to as "extreme right wing" are in fact pretty much middle of the spectrum.

I'd consider that a compliment. Any government body that has the arrogance to make a black list? I want it to know I'm its enemy. Honestly, I'd be insulted if I weren't on the list. ;)

Then you are an idiot.
The "black list" was composed of people who supported communism during the height of the "Cold War".
Remember that 50 year conflict between socialism and Capitalism that we lost because the colleges were infiltrated by communists that taught their students the world owed them a living, health care, and a large chunk of what ambitious people earn ?
If there had been more attention paid to the Blacklists" and who was engaging in "Un American activities" we would not have assholes falling for Obama's "spread the wealth" Marxism, nor would we have those OWS half wits.
The Constitution is the rules the country is run by.
It is not a suicide pact.
I would not expect an O voter to figure that out for himself.

No. It was composed of people who were ACCUSED of supporting communism. There were commies on the list. There were also civil libertarians, civil rights activists, opponents of the emerging national security state, satirists and people that had just pissed J. Edgar Hoover off one too many times. As I said, I'd be insulted not to be considered an enemy of that kind of statist arrogance.
