I Married a Marine Today
« on: November 06, 2011, 06:47:02 PM »
This Rabbit had the unmitigated joy and pleasure to officiate at the marriage of a proud, young Marine and his beautiful young bride.  Years ago, I had the privilege of officiating at the marriage of the bride's father (man, I am old).

Our young American Hero was decked out in his dress uniform, and there were moments when I thought we'd lose him.  He's not yet faced combat (marital or other) so he is truly an innocent.  But our young E-3 stood tall and proud and managed to croak out an "I do" when the question was asked.

The young bride is a child I have watched grow up.  Now, she is one term away from getting her Bachelor's at USF and moving to Okinawa to be with her new hubby.

It's these sorts of things that serve to remind us all that time passes no matter how much we drag out feet or complain about it.

Anyway, as far as excuses go for missing the debauchery of an M58 visit with Haz and Deepwater, I believe this one serves as well as any.

Y'all would have been proud of the Rabbit.  I cleaned up pretty well and only choked up once, just a little when I got to the part where I introduced them as Mr. and Mrs...  I may have some pics to post in the next few days. Stay tuned.

Offered in humble explanation by,

The Reverend Crusader Rabbit (bet y'all didn't know about that.)

Even at a ball game, when someone talks during the anthem or doesn’t take off his hat, it pisses me off. I’m not one to be quiet about it, either.”  Chris Kyle

Ain't it the truth.  I hope that young soldier and his bride have a nice long life together.
Nice job Rev.  :)
You can say lots of bad things about pedophiles; but at least they drive slowly past schools.

She is a USF girl? ......All is well crusader,....she'll have his back, and woe to those that try to mess it up.....Although the combat duty of marriage is a separate and unique arrangement. ::)

Debauchery will be next time,....you did good.

All the best to them and you.

Indeed, here I thought we were going to have an ode to the ending of don't ask don't tell, and tales of a trip to Massachusetts. ;D

The question is, did it come from the back pages of Rolling Stone? ;)

How about Trinity Evangelical?  They have a better program than the Rolling Stone Classified crowd. ;)

Yeah, a Soldier is in the Service named in the Consitution, and a Marine is a Sailor with a gun.  <snicker, snicker> :P

Couldn't resist ;D
