I live in Gaylord,  JAYs is way over priced on their guns.  No real competion in the area and they get alot of people without a clue to buy.  They can have a good deal at times...helps when you can drop in every day and check.  They will match prices...if it is another Michigan store.  Been waiting for an LCP show up to check it out befor I buy.  I still may get a seecamp 32 instead.  You want to talk about robery their primers are $4 a 100.

Common guys!  That's only 19 grains of H110 pushing a 250 grain Montana Gold CMJ.

I'm thinking of pushing it a bit more to 24 grains, that should give me around 1400 fps and there is still room for more according to the Lee Modern Reloading (up to 26.5 for 250 grain bullets).

;D
I like your thinking Haz I have got a compressed load from Hornady for a .44 Mag that is 30 gr. H110 over a 180 gr JHP. you should see the look on peoples faces then then they light that one up! And if they don't know about it the smell from their britches unit to pretty! :o ;D

I was shooting my .22 at the range and the Kid that works there fired a 2 1/2 inch barreled .454 Cassul in the next lane, I thought Al-queda struck  ;D

Had a similar problem with Botach. Received wrong size 511 pants. Sent back per instructions. They were well marked and packaged. They said they never received them.  Lost the pants. They lost a customer, and that was out of a $300.00 order.

I live in Michigan as well. I love to go to Jay's. They have some neat stuff there that we have trouble finding elsewhere. But, Jay's ammo prices have always been high -- unless there is a special sale. Don't count on a sale during hunting season. BTW is Jay's open on Sunday now? They did not used to be.

Dunham's has had some good case prices for 9 mm and I note that Wolf .223 is $4.99 right now. Too bad I can't use Wolf at my club. I bought some PMC .223 at Cabela's in IL this week for $7.99 -- which I thought was too high since I bought it in Oct in Montana for $6.00.

Now that Cabela's, Bass Pro, and Gander Mt have come to Michigan I don't bother making a special trip up to Jay's any longer. But I do stop at the Gaylord store if I am on my way to the UP.

Guns Galore in Fenton is always a good stop as well. Have not been there in a few years. I feel a road trip to Fenton coming on next week.

Yea Jays is open Sundays.  Was at Guns Galore last week, about the same as they have always been.  I used to live 20min from the Dundee Cabelas, that was nice.  Even their guns prices are high, but they do have very a good selection to fondle, haven't found a store with more variety.

Go to JAY'S  and fondle all you want then go to Boyne city to Boyne Bait shop and talk to Dave Wilson, I have had him order for me before and it was a Kimber Eclipse . Jay's had it for $1250.00 and I got it from Dave for $1025.00 out the door. The address is 500 N Lake street  Phone # (231) 582--6616. May be I'll see you at the range.

Is it me or is Gander Mountain a little over priced on their firearms and ammo. Sometimes the only difference between new and used firearms is $20- $40 by me.

Nope WI it isn't you.  Our Gander Mt is basically MSRP but you go down the block to a LGS and save about $150 on a firearm.
