Cain is far from out...McRomney is the media's candidate for the rank and file GOP, and the establishment RINO's go to guy....
(kinda like McCain), how did that work out?
Perry still has Millions of dollars, and a year to go. (but is not likely going to be the nominee)

Newt, regardless of his past/personal indiscretions, and "f" ups, were in his personal life. Nothing to do with his ability to present solutions, and plans, that will actually work to improve this economy, and be an exponential improvement than our current POTUS.

Knows foreign policy, better than any other candidate, is a walking Library of Congress historically, to know what has worked and what hasn't.

That is the voters bottom line this election... Fool me once with McCain shame on you, fool me twice with McRomney, shame on me.
It ain't gonna be a normal election....By all the talking heads standards, Cain should have been gone already....NOT...

and Newt is gaining....and will tear BHO a new one in a head to head debate.

The RINO Romney is a McCain re-run...and the true Conservative voters are not going to be duped again...the Bible thumpers are smart enough to know this country can't withstand another 4 years of BHO, and have had enough with RINO's.

As somebody pointed out before, Romney = "Obama - now 50% less black."  My dislike of Romney has nothing to with religion (mine or his) and everything to do with him being a statist.

@ twyacht -- I don't think McCain fooled very many people.  That's why he lost.

Also, I think it's important to note that "Somebody Else" and "Not Sure" account for almost 1/3 of those polled, and that nobody is pulling 20%.

He was chosen by the MSM and RINO's....All by design. The same MSM, and talking heads are all on the Romney is the Candidate train.....Just like last time.

I say BS on that....I held my nose at McCain, just like a whole lot of voters did.

The point I was making is the Conservative Voter, is not going to be fooled to let "them" pick our candidate.

By their logic, Cain should have already quit. Yet he still holds the lead...(for now)...50+/- days before the first Primary. We'll see.

Trouble with Newt is four fold.
First, he's an arrogant A-hole, and most Americans of both parties realize it.
Second he is an unfaithful A-hole, who was unfaithful to not one, but two wives whom he traded in on younger model. The first while she was recovering from cancer, the second while he was going after Clinton's infidelity while sleeping with his own ex-intern (and PS, he gave Mrs. Gingrich version 2.0 the boot by phone while she was at her mother's 80th birthday) :P.
Third, he is a neo-con. He favors a military strike in Iran. :o :o :o Just in case Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya, possibly Syria now, aren't enough fun for all the family.
Fourth, while he is a smart guy who thinks big, he seems to be in love with the last good idea he heard. He has established consistent (mostly) ideals, but rarely consistent policies that have survided the years.
He's better than BO, but I'd hate to bet against his proven ability to piss off a majority of the American electorate.

Alright FQ,

Arrogant A-holes are the standard for modern Presidential Candidates...(I still think BHO takes top marks for arrogant A-Holeishness)..

He (was) unfaithful,.....OK, than why is Slick Willy, a Rock Star among Democrats? BFD....it changes nothing about his ability to be a better POTUS than 4 more of BHO.

Just what is a neo-con,....as much as he relies on history, where does the "neo" come from? Iran? Just back Israel up, and let them do like they have already done in Syria. His ideals were changed by a Dem Majority, and establishment RINO's...

The perfect candidate days are waaaayyyy over.....McRomney? is a wind-sock....Ron Paul lives in a happy place the majority of voters won't go. Huntsman? Please... Santorum? Angry Republican. (not that there is anything wrong with that),...Bachmann,...(well too many Palin flashbacks for you),....

It leaves Cain and Newt. The anti-establishment candidates. Want Obamacare repealed? Like totally gone? Romney and the others don't have the belly or balls for it. Newt had to work with 534 members of Congress. Kinda like a pack of rugrats in Pre-School.  From the Bully Pulpit, perhaps the RINO's, and the ass whippin the incumbent Dems will face in the House and Senate will put this country back on a better path...

He's better than BO, but I'd hate to bet against his proven ability to piss off a majority of the American electorate.

Than as long as Newt's been around, and pissing off the electorate, why are his numbers going up?

Neo - con is a liberal catch phrase that means absolutely nothing, like "assault weapon". and only the college indoctrinated, or really stupid, fall for it.

As for his ideas, FQ's opinion is meaningless because he believes in the same failed stupid crap that screwed the country up in the first place.
Come on, with all the information that was available before the '08 election would any one with anyone other than a college victim or idiot have voted for an empty suit like what these assholes elected ?
He cheated on his wives ? BFD, FQ, you ever been married ? I'd give him a pass if he'd killed one of them.
Besides, like I posted before, the election is for a President, not a saint.

Lets take these in reverse order. If it were just cheating I'd agree. Its why no one cared about BJ. But well, Newt is the marrying kind. He dumps his wife, mother of his children on her sick bed to marry a trophy wife. Then, when she gets a bit long in the tooth, he dumps her and marries an intern. Ask any woman over 35 whether he should be elected President or castrated. Its not the sex, its the betrayal and the saying "you're old and ugly, see'ya" that's the electoral problem. I doubt Palin and Bachman would vote for him sober. Think I'm wrong, ask M'lette.
I'll give you the definition of Neo-con later, right now I have to take a call. I will be back. As a teaser, four words :Bill Krisol, John McCain.

Here's Newt on individual mandates for health insurance. BTW sports fans, that issue is at the heart of the lawsuit 26 states filed against the feds; which one appeals court judge in FL said was unconstitutional.

Is this kind of like this video?:

Historically, Newt was much worse than you guys may be aware of.. Remember the old saw about "A dead woman or a live boy"? He respected those guardrails. Anything short of that was fair game... "Was" being the operative word.. He's not like that anymore. Jesus can change a man.. I still have serious reservations about Newt and "Free Trade", but that horse has already left the barn. It took 25 years to get to this point on that business and until we get our currency and debt under control, we can't even begin to the economy and trade policy of the 1950s model.. IMO.. We can start fixing our economy by taking trade policy decisions away from the pervue of the State Dept..

I'll offer the name of a man who has a knowledge of the Constitution that outstrips even Newt, the integrity of a George Washington, the grace of Ronald Reagan and roots like a Juniper tree..
His name is David Barton. I think he ought to be drafted at the Convention..
Again, IMO..

If I can go a little farther afield here.. I believe that in large part, we can thank Huckabee and Romney in SC last time around for McCain getting the nomination in the end last time..

I will not vote for Romney if he gets the nomination, but before I start to rant...
With friends like these, who needs hallucinations!..

Actually it means a lot, and it means more to conservatives than liberals who just stop at the word "con". Neo-conservatism started in the '60's and '70's with liberals (mostly academic types) who got fed up with the Dem's over many issues, but mostly foreign policy. They were hawks on the Cold War and strongly pro-Israel. What sets them apart from traditional conservatives (think Ron Paul, Pat Buchanan, Barry Goldwater etc.), is  they are avidly interventionist and internationalist. They reject a realist FP and spit at isolationism. Wars of choice are ok, and entangling foreign alliances are good things. They like nation building, and will regale you with the wonders of the Marshall plan till you want to strangle them. Israel is the 51st state, and inside every rag head (or insert Cuban or Chinese if you want) is a good American waiting to come out. We just need to dazzle them with  American sunshine and maybe a small military intervention (for their own good, and they'll thank us for it, really ::)). The WTO is the future, globalism means prosperity, and border security; well, maybe, but how about focusing on strengthening regional ties with Mexico? Their intellectual leaders would be Bill Kristol and Marty Peretz,. Their magazine is "The Weekly Standard". Their candidates would be McCain and especially  W., who was the poster boy for the neo-con agenda both  as governor and as President. Its not a smear used by liberals as much as it is by libertarians and traditional conservatives.
