400 Grit sand paper. WATCH THOSE SRINGS THEY GO ZOOOOOM! REALLY FAST! When you are ready to remove the hand  put a rag over it  and that will catch it. If you want the whole low down I'll send you some more detailed instructions. its kinda hard to send the IBOK, that's the way hes got it set so I found out after trying to send it to Jaybeth a few times ,but I found out if you join rugerfourm.com you still might be able to get it. Hell if I get this printer going I will print you a copy and just send it to you. I just got into doing Ruger revolvers but I have done a lot of work on 1911's. Rugers are a lot easier.

Rugers are EASIER, WOW !I was really more curiuos than actually thinking of doing one yet, Maybe once I've got a second pistol I'll try doing one on my .45 (that way if I mess it up I have a carry gun till the replacement parts arrive ;D )

Triggers on a  1911  are not that difficult usea 6"Xi1" inda stone you can get one from bronells for about $20.00. Just work the stone across the sears of the hammer and sear maintianing the the angles cleam them off and put it back together and try it . Just remeber nice and slow . You may have to repeat this a few times to get it right. Best book on 1911's is by Jerry Kuhnhausen that you also can get from Bronells.
