More from McCabe's Custom Leather
« on: November 27, 2011, 10:42:42 AM »
Here's some more from last week.  The one with the stingray inlay is a purse holster for a woman.  It is designed to go into the zippered pouch on most high end handbags and clips in, the clips can be adjusted to the desired height.

The panel with the 2nd ammendment is the anti-print panel of a pocket holster.  I had a stamp made to stamp it in.

There's also an ankle holster in the mix and some other stuff.

Very cool stuff indeed! I like the 2nd Amendment stamp a lot, and the inlay work is perfect!

Thanks guys,  the inlay was only the second time that I did that particular technique where I raised the inlay to be flush with the outer layer. The first was a matching IWB for the same woman. I think it looks much better that way compared to it laying flat ontop of the lining layer. Hopefully all that makes sense.

I'm going to make a few other things with the 2nd amendment on it, if it turns into something popular I'll get a few different sizes made. I'm not usually a fan of stamps in general but I couldn't tool that much that small and have it look right.

Thanks,  I use the Boss and it has no problems going through the stingray.  It was actually harder to sew the ankle holsters with it than the stingray, not because it was hard to go through just that it was rather soft with the felt backing and very thick on some parts, it fed a little different than normal but in the end it worked pretty good.
