Bump goes the sound in the car port Saturday night.
Click goes the motion light.
Into the hand goes the Ruger Security 6 .357 Magnum (closest gun at hand)
Skitter I go down the hallway to get the brightest search light I own (night stand)
Charge goes me to the front door.
Stop short was I by wife in kitchen - hand up arm outstretched.

Where do you think your going? ! Says she.
Outside to investigate says I!
No your not! Says she.
um......... (click - dim light in my squash starts to flicker)
Where is it safer right now? Says she.
Inside where we know is secure - or out there where we have no clue - who what where when why how?

um........(Ding! We have a winner)

- Turns out - tom cat knocks over a cd tower we have in storage in the car port.
Thinking is still our best security too we poses people...... even when it takes someone else to do it for us.

I love her dearly - just don't let her know......

Sounds like a keeper to me (the wife, not the cat). General rule of thumb, let them come to you, unless there is good reson to do otherwise. Better to have them walking through a doorway when you know they are coming, rather than the reverse. Besides, it cuts down on legal fees.

Had the following conversation with my wife today, when she returned from the insurance agent's office:
Her:  "Well, you were right about the premium payment method."
Me:  "What was that?"
