Blago Gets 14 Years !

I knew he would go away, but man did they throw the book at him! I'm not trying to stick up for him, but what the hell did he actually do to receive 14 years? He talked about selling Hussein's Senate seat, but no money ever changed hands. He never met with anyone to actually do it. He was a smart a$$ed, foul mouthed idiot. But the last time I looked that wasn't a crime.

In a state that won't pass a law to give child molesters a mandatory 10 year sentence, 14 years for what he did certainly seems like overkill. He sure as hell pi$$ed someone off! He'll be 70 before he gets out because it was a Federal beef, and he must serve 85% of the sentence. That could very well be a life sentence for him.

He pissed off Daley by trying to display some independence.
He pissed off Mike Madigan, Speaker of the IL house by trying to rein him in; Madigan's daughter is IL Atty General
bho owed him nothing

That ought to about cover it. He got thrown to the wolves, and found he had no friends when the Feds came acallin'.

Agree on the sentence though, but typical of a lot of sentencing disparities, like the murderer who gets five years, and his roomie is in stir for 20 years for possession of a pound of weed.

I think that is it. He simply pi$$ed off the wrong people, and they wanted him gone for good. They had their chance to stick it to him, and they did! You can't help but feel for the guy you know? He's like the poor little, stupid puppy that doesn't get picked for Christmas, and spends it in a cage instead of with some cute little kid.

Since he tried to sell Nobama's senate seat one has to ponder where he got the idea...like Obama bought the seat (or Uncle George Soros bought it) earlier? No one has ever thought to look into where he got the stupid idea in the first place.

Having been born and raised in and around that city for 38 years, that is what is so astounding about the sentence. The buying and selling of politics in that town has been going on since the days of Al Capone. It is strictly business as usual. It is as if they are saying to the rest of the country, "We won't stand for this sort of thing!" When in reality it is all they have ever stood for.

Maybe, just maybe, they're sick of sending Illinois Governors to prison and are making an example out of the POS.  I doubt that will matter considering "The Chicago Way"!

The Feds appear to be restless. Blago's sentence, and what they're pulling raiding the "medical" dope clinics in California is a telling tale. They want to show the states who's ultimately boss. It plays right into Hussein and Holder's thug personalities.

Add in Fast and Furious, and the TSA doing checks on TN highways. I posted a long time ago that I felt that the feds were trying to push people to riot and provoke violence so they could really clamp down. With this regime I would say going so far as to suspend elections and turn us wholly over to a totalitarian state. Far fetched thoughts to be sure......Maybe not so sure anymore.

The thing is JC, other than raiding the pot clinics they are all popular moves. People are happy we are looking for terrorists, and no one is going to riot for Blago unless its to form a lynch mob. As for the pro pot riots? They meant to but decided to go get some cheetos instead.
