Recognizing my former high school..............
Our local high school band was invited to go to Hawaii to perform in the 70th Anniversary Pearl Harbor Mass Band performance and march in the Remembrance Parade. Several friends and church members were able to go with their kids and one just posted that our marching band from little Tift County, Ga. was selected as Grand Champions of the parade.
A very good friend of mine (whose niece is in the band) posted a statement from his sister that I think is worth sharing:I can't even begin to explain how full my heart is right now. To be blessed with the ability to stand along the parade route and see men who survived the attack on Pearl Harbor is incredible...to stand there and see bands from all over come down the parade route was incredible... to see the banner for the Brigade round that corner, and hear the music coming from these kids....It was absolutely unbelievable...but to witness my two children go over to two Pearl Harbor survivors, ask to shake their hand, and tell them "Thank You for everything that you did for us".....there are just no words....~BTH

"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo
For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison
