I just hated to hear the woman cry...

You can bet that her lawyer sure didn't (not that L'm at all cynical). Honestly I have no idea how I'd react. I'd like to think I would be calm and cold about it, but it could be anything from a fist pump and an end zone dance to tears. Who knows ahead of time? I do know that if it ever went to trial I'd rather have the jury hear me weeping than yelling "Take that you bastard"! ;D

Got a longer version of the video from Front Sight.   It has the usual sales pitch in the text before and after the video, but ignore it if youi choose.

The video does show the lady being emotional in the beginning when she decided to get out her gun and fire two warning shots.  It showed her being emotional after the shooting when she was near the body and waiting for the cops to arrive.  But is showed her being strong, hard and determined when he was entering the house and she had to shoot him twice to stop him.  It also shows her in her house afterwards, empty handed, showing how she aimed and moved.  

She is tough and will be ok.

It also shows the 911 operator telling her not to shoot just when the guy is coming in, advice the woman did not take and ignoring it most likely saved her life....and the lives of anyone else the perp would have attacked next.

I caught that before.. How can that dispatcher not draw a rebuke from tne City Atty on that kind of thing? I know nobody inlocal gov't thinks that ay but maybe they would if somebody yanked them out of the saddle a time or two for telling somebody to ie. "die".. It's bad legal advice for a Public Safety official to hand out in the name of the Police, in a situation where the official has no reason to believe that shooting the perp in defense of herself is against the law. I know that's a babbling way of saying it but I think it would stand up in (an unbiased) court..
With friends like these, who needs hallucinations!..
