They are seeing how tough American Marines are.

They are thankful the "cold war" ended before they had to face The Marines with a puny .30 Cal. weapon.

Now they are prepared  ;D ;D ;D   ...so they think  :D :D

They'll need more than that.

It big, make big boom, knock down walls, kill raging garbage trucks more better......

;)

;D

Sure it would be fun for us, but from a purely military viewpoint, what good is it ?
Are the going to use it in "hostage situations" like Beslan ?

Can some one explain to me the utility of a .50 short cartridge ?
It lacks the punch and range of a real .50, for far more weight and recoil than the standard  7.62X 39, with a much smaller mag capacity.

Ask the developers of the .50 Beowulf & .458 SOCOM.....
Why, yes....I'm the right-wing extremist Obama warned you about... ;D

I just wish Texas was as free and independent as everyone thinks it is...   :'(

I would, but they don't post here.
They haven't sold crap compared to full size cartridges like .338 LM.
They also haven't scored a Govt contract.
So again, WTF good would it be ?
It has all the disadvantages of the full size round, weight, recoil, limited mag capacity, with out any of the advantages of range and armor penetration.
