What happened to gun give aways?
« on: December 13, 2011, 08:30:09 PM »
Michael,

I was listening to some back podcast episodes (about 1911 holsters) and realized that there hasn't been a gun give away since the 10/22. I thought maybe you needed some new suggestions for giveaway guns. So here are a few :)

Ruger Redhawk in 44Mag

AR-15 Loaded Upper

A Bob Wilson Carry commander from Wilson Combat

A race gun from STI in Christmas colors

A Para Carry 9

A Ruger LCP with CT laser

I hope this little brainstorming session helps trigger your enthusiasm for rewarding your loyal listeners 8)

My wish list:

S&W 627 Performance Center w/5" barrel for shooting steel and bowling pin.

Springfield Armory XD 5.25, with 10 mags

S&W 625 PC w/ 4" barrel for IDPA

Oh heck and why not:

A Ruger Scout Rifle with Trijicon AccuPoint 3-9x
Will work for ammo
USAF MAC 437th MAW 1968-1972

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them

What happened to gun giveaways? The economy.

Would that be the same economy that has recorded several record sales cycles for guns? ::)

No - the economy that has lead to so many consolidations of manufacturers to owners that are so diversified they hardly know they make guns.  The economy that is being driven by too many MBA's that care more about the bottom line than they do the public that supports them.  The economy that thinks we want a closet full of brand new, semi-tested guns every season rather than a fully developed and proven gun once every five years.

Rant off for now, but look out because I've got PMS today  >:(

The gun giveaway was really special.  Nothing like MB calling on Thanksgiving to tell you congratulations you've won a gun.

Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
