I wasn't saying that.  I was referring to your statement that if Romney got the nomination you couldn't vote for him.

Like many who voted for McCain, we held our nose and voted, because we KNEW what BHO would bring, and he did not let us down in that regard....

It will only get worse, if he's re-elected....

The very fact of BO's reelection, even if it's only by 1 vote, will be hyped as a "mandate from the people" to continue on his Socialist, anti American, corrupt, racist agenda.

Okay, look.. Romney is pro abortion. I know most here don't care, but I've got to face the Lord after you beat me to death for it..
I'll tell you something else too. I DID hold my nose last time. It wasnt' even counted because it was a mail in. Help me fix the local bunch, to figure out that votes are supposed to be counted before you go off on me for being more afraid of God than I am you.. I mention Romney as an aside, and to motivate the reader that I'm not "following" this time. This time, I lead..
My question was about what it would take to run Joe Manchin against Obama, because I think he could win their primary. That way, we're better off no matter who wins.. Support Romney of you want! I can't do it! I can't vote for paul, either. He'll get us all killed! (Although, I'd rather die fighting than be led to the slaughter..)

Santahog, there will not be a Dem primary, it is to late for a dem to register, in about half the primary states and even if some one tried in the remainder the party leadership would go to court to keep him off.

Basically no matter what happens no Dems will vote before Nov.

We are now in the handbasket gathering speed towards the fire at the bottom of the hill....  not voting to put on the brakes because you don't like the brakeman is not the wise thing to do.

That would presume that the R candidate would do something different than what we are currently doing, and I'm not convinced of that. 

Something to consider is that people will actually stand up and fight against Obama.  Nobody cared about bailouts under Bush.  Under Obama, they were viewed as bad.  McCain could've gotten (and would've tried to get) Obamacare passed with a lot less of a fight than Obama.  With an R in the seat, folks are likely to go back to sleep for 4 more years.

Would a Romney SC nominee look fundamentally different than an Obama one?

Bottom line--I'm just not sure that a .0000000000000001 degree course correction is gonna make that much of a difference in our ultimate destination.

While I agree that the goal of both parties is to get as big and grab as much power as they can, The R's have been doing it at a slower rate than the D's and they don't yet have such a strong Marxist/Socialist focus.

It is no wonder much of what one party condemns the other for doing while they were in control is ever reversed....both parties what it done...but love to blame the other for making those nasty encroachments on our right....but they both rub their hands with anticipation of taking control with the added power the previous party took the fall for.

In any case, a change in administration will slow down the encroachment while they dick around getting everything in DC arranged the way they like it.

And if it is a big enough defeat (doubtful) it might send some type of message that "The People" won't tolerate becoming slaves this quickly.

The lesser of two evils is still evil.  Whether it is a marxist/socialist/communist outright like we have now or a RINO, the result is still the same.  It's the time on the path that changes.  All that "worker's paradise" guarantees is that wealthy people stay wealthy and in power.

I'd rather see it blow up sooner than later.  The slow path to enslavement means there are proportionately more koolaide drinkers who think they are free but can't recognize their chains.  Better for it to come all at once...that get's the sheep's attention.  This really is akin to putting the bullfrog in a pot of warm water then turning the fire up on him...by the time he realizes he's being cooked it's too late.  Drop the frog's behind in a pan of hot oil and he get's it right off the bat.

I've watched this slow boil turned up for 40 years.  It isn't going to get better with a RINO; just proceed more slowly.  At end of a slow boil people will try to stay unnoticed and keep what they have...good luck with that, it won't work.  Being on the slow boil means someone else controls the timing and the actions enplaced...not good strategically if you love what it is we've been losing the last few decades.
