M+P .40 with top notch ammo, But, tough in hot summers for Concealed Carry. As it warms up here, my Walther PPK/S .380 with Gold Dot HP is easier and quick to draw and not too heavy in light clothing.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

I know Glock calls the G30 a sub-compact but I call it a compact at best.  But I carry a G30 with two mags every Saturday & Sunday and any day I'm not walking the halls of UNLV where even keeping a gun in my car is a high-grade misdemeanor.  I prefer the .45 but my alternate carry piece is a Colt King Cobra 2 1/2" loaded with Cor-Bon DPX in .357.

I've toyed with the idea of contesting the laws based on the fact that by disarming me completely between work and home, the state of Nevada is depriving me of constitutional rights enjoyed by other citizens.  However, I'm a right-to-work supporter so have some more thinking to do before I start boat-rocking.

Future concealed carry options under consideration are the Walther PPS in .40 S & W, Para-Ordnance CDA and most likely a Springfield XD in .45.  The Glock is equipped with the new Crimson Trace grips and has never, ever failed to fire.  But my wife has been hankering for the G30 ever since she fired it and I want her to have maximum protection.  She carries a S & W Lady Smith with CT grips and keeps it loaded with Speer +P in .38 Spcl.  Hopefully, the Model 60 and the King Cobra will transform into underseat backups and she'll have her G30 in her Galco purse and I'll find something to hang in a shoulder holster and transform myself from academic IT geek into fiction writer so I can carry every day.

We've already decided that our "stimulus" check will go for a pair of Ruger LCP's and a second Mossberg 590 for the home.  If the government wants to stimulate the economy, let's stimulate our part of the economy and do our local gun stores some good.

I carry a 1911 Govt model currently, I was switching between that and a Taurus .357 with 4 inch barrel but sold the revolver, hope to replace it with a GP 100 also in 4 inch .357 No problem concealing either during the summer.

An Airweight .38+p J-frame, wearing a set of Crimson Trace Laser Grips, is my choice.

At 19.4 ounces, fully loaded, including the pocket holster it rides in, it gets carried almost everywhere.

P3AT every time I leave the house. The size and weight make it the right choice for me.

I carry an XD40 compact most of the time but on occasion I'll carry a compact 1911 in 45ACP
