Goes through war zones unscathed but gets shot at home.  That's one tough mother f Marine.

Quote
Lieutenant Colonel Karl Trenker, 29, of Miramar, Florida, was shot three times as he confronted two men who had stolen a gold chain from him.
He said he used his battlefield training from Afghanistan and Iraq to stem blood from chest wounds by shoving his finger into the gaping wound.

Quote
Lt Colonel Trenker said: ‘I dialled my phone and called my fiancée and said, 'Listen I've been shot I think three times.
Ms Saiz said she couldn't believe he had been shot and that he called her.

'I mean, it's amazing to me how this guy had been shot this many times. I mean, he's Superman, you know. He's talking to me just as calmly as I'm sitting here talking'
‘He told me: “I've been shot three times, my fingers are in the bullet holes, the police are going to take care of the kids".'

It would seem he's actually 48 (good age).  He's been a Marine for 29 years.

That makes a bit more sense.  Pretty tough to make Lt. Colonel in 7 years even if he graduated at the top of his class from Annapolis!  The minimum is 16 years to make O-5.

when I went back for my 10 year reunion, everyone who hadn't punched out, we're Majors.  I think it was another 4 years as Major that some got to pin on Lt. Col.... so at least in the Air Force, I think, it was 14 years to make light colonel.

I looked it up and all forces are the same when it pertains to Officers.  Unless there are other circumstances, it's 16 years of service and 3 years time at rank to make Lt. Colonel or O-5.  Then, only about 70% are actually promoted.

The guy looks like a life-size GI-Joe.

‘I put my fingers in the holes to stop the bleeding and ran back to the truck and told my kids I had been shot, but not to worry.’

To borrow a line from Zombieland......................this guy "sets the standard for not-to-be-f**ked-with!!"

Know what you call somebody who gets shot 3 times and plugs the holes with his fingers?  A United States Marine!!  OOO-RAH!!!
I love waking up every morning knowing that Donald Trump is President!!

And, the fact that he's in great shape with a lot of muscle mass will go a long way to aid in his survival!

If I were in better shape when a car ran over me, I may have fared better myself!
