Ft. Bragg, NC Marksmanship Challenge Apr. 27th
« on: April 02, 2008, 08:04:02 PM »
Heard today the Special Operations Unit at Ft. Bragg is having a marksmanship challenge for pistol and rifle on base April 27th.

One gets to shoot against military marksmen, as well as civilian entrants. I will try to post a link when I find it, (just got home).

I'm sure one could Google Ft. Bragg events and find it. I thought of entering (for a split second), than when reality hit, the thought of out shooting a military sniper, let alone the civilian with a .338 Mag zeroed for 750 yards is another consideration. We have all types that can show up here in NC.

Don't know the layout of the handgun format,( will try to find out) ,but am interested in just going as a "spectator" to see and admire our soldiers and watch the best marksmen (and their firearms), go to it.

Still might bring my S&W 1911, with the bells and whistles,  and sign up last minute.

Thank you

Found the link in the Fayetteville News & Observer

gives better details than I did.
