Brought back memories for me.

Met Derek through his uncle, Butch.

Haven't seen Butch is several years...sort of drifted apart after he bought land in south France.  Said it was a small town where artists and musicians lived and they weren't bothered by "ordinary" people there.   I'm neither an artist or musician.   

He bought the land because he felt W. was the worst president ever and that W wold render the US unlivable.  Butch and FQ would have gotten along perhaps. 

The man could play the drums though...and he lived to perform.  He is my age and said when  he is on stage and the crowd is cheering, he feels like  he did at 20 when they were starting out.
