S&W 3913
« on: January 23, 2012, 07:04:55 PM »
I found a good used S&W 3913 at my favorite pawn shop recently. The owner let me have it for $300. I bought it for my girlfriend to keep at her house. She's been trying to get me to let her keep one of mine but I just can't do it :o. I have been looking for a reasonble priced 9mm for a while. She is actually not a bad shot with even my snubby. If I could get her more interested in shooting I think she could do well but she wants to get her CCW now. I'm looking forward to getting it out of layaway and putting some rounds downrange. I dusted of my 9mm dies this weekend and cranked out a few hundred rounds. I'll just have to fight the urge to hog it ;D. I like the old 3rd generation Smith's and I have read alot of good things about the 3913. I just wish somebody made a laser for it to make it easier for her.

I bought a 6906 new in the mid to late 90s.  I haven't had it out of the safe in a while, but it is a sweet shooter.  At the time, it was one of my favorite pistols.  This makes me realize I need to take it out and put some rounds through it.

I too have an ol" S&W 9mm, the even older 3913 series were tanks...they won't fail, break, and are Wilson approved to beat the crap out of someone, for pistol whipping.

Big and heavy, rugged and reliable.

Share and compromise with your girlfriend.....If not now, than tomorrow.....

An ol'  S&W will still go bang...

That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

I bought a 3913 new many years ago. Around 3 years ago I gave it to a friend and she wasn't comfortable with a semi auto so I got her a 38 snubby and got the 3913 back. I've put 500 rounds through it in the past 2 months and love it. It will probably be my summer carry in a fanny pack as it use to be. It's built to last, reliable and I can hit the target just fine with it. I won't be giving it away again.
