As my friend pointed out, they have similar views of marriage.   :o

Newt? We down here have known about Newt for years. He was wild, sure enough.
Not excusing it. Just not a surprise..
Cain? While it wouldn't surprise me, it was never proven/demonstrated that he did anything. He had an answer for everything that got tossed at him. Did you notice that the stories went away as soon as he did? If there had been any fire there, or if the stories had been the product of real journalism, they would have continued to unfold like a Navy raft..
I've fallen prey to hit jobs myself. I'm not buying it until it's demonstrated to be true. I think Cain was a hit job, garden variety..

The first accusations of harassment, etc. seemed to be hit jobs.  The final one (that caused him to drop out) was more credible and IIRC there were phone records to at least back that the two had contact over a long period of time.

Once the LSM drove him out of the race they thought it was no longer "news worthy" and went onto looking for dirt on the other Republican candidates.

The LSM wants Romney. Anyone else who looks like a contender will be vilified, dragged through the mud, and castigated with all the power the press can muster.

Newt has a few issues regarding marriage(s).  Big deal.  So do many of Hollywood's legends, and I don't hear any calls for boycotting movies.

Like Santahog, I think Herman got a bum deal.

Like many right thinking people, I would prefer anyone but Romney, unless and of course if that "other" choice is Odamna.

Then, it's gonna be a "hold my nose and pull the lever" kind of day.

It's a shame when these examples are the best we can find out of 300-million or so Americans.

I still miss Perry.. The worst hit you could put on him was lack of judgement in trusting a turncoat staffer on a vaccine. Beyond that, he was a terrible public speaker.
He's an uncomplicated man.
I'd still vote for Duncan Hunter (Sr.) or Steve Forbes before him.. My track record for picking candidates.. Good men, all..

Before that, I was still transition from being an abandoned Democrat.. The last time I voted for a Dem for Pres was the 92 Primary, a protest vote for Moon Beam and the flat tax..

I said the same thing.  However, quitting seems to validate the rumors.

I suspect he's never been attacked like that, whether he did it or not...
I've stepped in on occasion to try to help/do some good and experienced what happened when those involved didn't welcome the (outsider) input..
I've done both. Stick it out, and say "To hell with this". On the former, I've won some and lost some..
Cain reminds me of a boss I had for a few years.. He was a philanderer. That's the thing that maybe makes me think it's true. But that isn't fair either..
I don't know. I never took him seriously as a candidate. He was farther out of his depth than Perry was..
That's why I'm voting for Gingrich. One of the things I can say about Newt is that he's not out of his depth in the office.. I just know I can't vote for Romney..
I still miss Perry... (And Duncan Hunter and Steve Forbes..)
"Vote Newt!!"
