just picked one up this week and noticed that there is some serious roughness in the slide. I tore it down and there is nothing visibly wrong but after carrying it around the house with a snap in the chamber for a few hours to break in the holster I got with it it almost feels like the gun is jammed but when I give a real good hard push on the slide I can get the slide to unlock and eject the snapcap. Thoughts?

Assume meant can't get it to release. I would take it back to the store as is and have them replace it.

Actually even though I'm 5 months late I do have a suggestion.
put tooth paste on the rails and work the crap out of it then clean it REAL good oil and re- lube.

Ultrabrite works best... ;D

Great nations rise and fall. The people go from bondage to spiritual truth, to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back again to bondage. Where are we now??????

Very nice, I have a stainless Loaded and I really like it. They are great value 1911's.
