Hey guys! I'm Jeff from Ohio. I've spent the last 15 years in Law Enforcement (State and Fed) working both uniformed and U/C. If any of you are familiar with the holster company A Better Holster.com LLC: www.abetterholster.com , I started it a number of years ago to provide affordable, quality concealment gear to both Law Enforcement and the general public. I enjoy watching DRTV, Shooting Gallery, etc. because I learn something from each episode. I look forward to learning some new ideas from members in this forum and maybe even share some ideas / experiences with others.

Hey guys! I'm Jeff from Ohio.

Hey Jeff, Geoff from ND here. There is a remote chance I may be moving back to OH from ND, I was born in Akron, as was my Dad.

Anyhow, what is the state - the real state - of 2A, firearms ownership and CCW in OH these days? Specifically in and around Columbus. I know there has been a lot of sturm und drang over CCW in the state lately, but it has been difficult to get the straight story.

Besides, you guys, well others more likely did elect Kucinich!  >:(

Thanks.

PS: Interesting  - uh - holster for CCW too.

We now have 1 uniform law across the state. No more "plain sight" requirement for car carry. When stopped by LE you must declare you have your gun with you.

Hey Geoff,
Don's right. No more plain sight in or on vehicles. Was quite a sight to see guys and gals on motorcycles with guns in plain view. I'm sure that freaked out a few blue hairs driving home from bingo. As for Columbus, to the best of my knowledge (which may be limited compared to others) they still have "No Guns" signs in just about every business' windows. One of the largest Pro gun organizations is PRO (Peoples Rights Organization), still host a large gun show in the Columbus area. It's in the old J.C.Penney bldg at Westlands Mall, which is located in a culturally diverse, low income area. They have it there cause they can't hold it within Columbus city limits. If you make it back to Ohio you owe it to yourself to check it out.

Hi all and thanks for signing up!

I try to keep tabs with what's going on with the Forum, or else Don Worsham might run amuck. You can also always feel free to email me directly at mbane@outdoorchannel.com. We just started the filming cycle for SHOOTING GALLERY and COWBOYS for 2008, so I'm treading water a little here, but I'll be back int he swing of it in no time.

In the meantime, I'm doing dryfiring in my office...

Greetings from California. Yes! California!! I'm here to let the world know that not everyone from my state bases their political opinions on the fusion of Oprahspeak and marijuana. I heard about this site on the Downrange TV podcast and look forward to hearing all the opinions and goings-on in the gun community. Thanks Michael Bane for providing an outstanding podcast in addition to this site which I plan to use to discuss guns and to vent my frustration at The Mob, otherwise known as society.
