Howdy - new member from Yarmouth Maine..   Was an old shooter and hunter in my youth (old guns i have dragged along over the years are a win 1894 (post 1964, but currently looking at an older one), Rem Model 11 shotgun, Colt Hunter 22, Ithica single shot shotgun (my first gun)...    Renewed active interest in shooting since Nov. 2008 (5 new guns in the last year including 2 AR-15 builds (one with bcm upper w/eotech 512..  like shooting this the most ;D), ruger 10/22, ruger lcr with chrimson trace, and kimber ultra carry II with an active  wish list beyond that..  christmas is coming, and need more to fill the safe!)..  i guess that makes me one of those horders, but my grandmother always said "we got to get it before the hoarders get it")..  recently got ccw in maine, nh, utah..  in the process of joining a range in falmouth to get regular training.  Got interested in this blog by downloading and listening to DDR and Michael Bane..  do alot of traveling, so ipoding on the plane is a lifestyle..  I am a dam (not damn) engineering independent consultant, and work for utilities nationwide (thus dam doc)..  Being from maine i have the burden of writing numerous letters on various items to our two gals (Collins and Snowe), usually a frustrating exercise, but some body has to do it!...   anyway, glad to be a participant here, and want to thank Mr. Bane for his extremely entertaining pod casts which I look forward to downloading each wednesday..  hope he keeps up the good work..  have trail safe on kindle and cds of best defense, so he is a good sales man too!..   also thanks for the welcome from tombogan03884 after my soupy sales post reply and for his suggestion to post here...

Hey Dam Doc, I'm "from" ME, now living in AZ and CA.

I know Yarmouth well having been born in Gray and living in Windham most of my life. Worked for CMP for 22 yrs taking an early retirement in 1997 but now back to working in CA  go figure. Wife won't let me stay home but lets me buy whatever I want for guns so I can't complain.
