It seems trips to the "woodshed" like days of old, now gets parents arrested for child abuse.

Back even in my day, the School Admin's had permission to "whoop" us.... ::)

(Personal exp. with that also.).....
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

I think it is absolutely hilarious. Had to share it with my two sons. They did not find it as humorous as I did.  ;D

The local radio station just announced that the Sheriff's dept and Child Services came by the house to CONGRATULATE him, along with a note that school resource officers are going to show the video to students at their schools.

We watched it here and the oldest said although she's thought it before, she'd never be dumb enough to post something like that anywhere, she likes living ;D

To show the stupidity of some people:

Our local radio station asked for call in comments - especially those that thought he was wrong.  A father called in and said he disagreed.  He said they watched the video as a family, and then sat down with their three boys ages seven to 14 and discussed the situation.  His claim is that the father should of had an adult sit down discussion with the girl.

I agree that family discussions are good and should be done.  I also agree that these discussions are an important part of discipline.  However, what did the father calling in on the radio have stuck in his ears?  This is not the first offense.  In fact, it has been bad enough that the girl just came off being grounded for three months.  I know I am assuming, but listening to this father articulate himself and describe the situations; his apparent fairness in explaining his side of her rant; and his description of their family's way of life; I believe that they have discussed this.  At some point you just need to turn the desert in to glass!

I'm thinking this was Texas.. Had it been most states, the dad would have been haouled off for terrorizing, weapons charge, et al..
God bless Texas!
The girl didn't get her butt tanned "er nuthin". My daddy would've beat me to death for pulling something like that..
The follow up I tead that came a few days later said that she was asking her dad how to profit from the publicity...
With friends like these, who needs hallucinations!..

""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington.
