Visit Starbucks --- TODAY

To counter a boycott by anti-gun organizations, please patronize Starbucks Coffee today.   If you can pay with a $2 bill to show support for the 2nd amendment.  Or as I'm doing, print the "I Love Guns and Coffee" graphic and leave it on the counter.

Starbucks might notice an upswing in sales and maybe they will credit it to pro-gun supporters rather than coffee becoming fashionable on Valentines Day, but I doubt the clerk will be moved much by a $2 bill or the Logo.

Corporate might notice an influx of $2 bills, but that isn't likely.  I'm sure the local shops make their own bank deposits so a $2 bill looks just like 5 $10s....if it even makes it to the bank...the clerk will probably save them out for birthday presents for nieces and nephews...and the paper will the logo will most likely end up in the trash..

Blah, blah, blah ...

Not a one that is a good reason to not go out, support the business and make a statement.

The thing I like best is that Starbucks is not anti-gun, and they are not pro-gun.  They have no official stance and just defer to the local laws and the Constitution.  That is the way it should be!

I don't have a problem with Starbucks other than their prices and the fact that I can make a better cup of joe at home.

The only one in the area is inside our local Target store and I'm armed nearly everywhere anyway!  The locals wouldn't have a clue what this is all about!  I'll take my five bucks and spend it more wisely on ammunition.

You are right...but besides spending money there, do something that will let them know why they earned it.  Mail or email someone at corporate who will care.

Send these folks the logo and let them know you support their business.

I like the company, but don't go there often as I can make as good a cup myself for a lot cheaper.

The whole idea of the $2 was just to get noticed.   Granted, the local manager is the only one who will notice, but I betcha the that person will probably tell the regional manager and corporate about all the gun nuts that came in today.

I opted just to tell the clerk I was here today as part of the "buycott" to counter the boycott.  She said she and the other employee (mostly high school or college age) knew about the concealed carry issue and that several people had also mentioned it as well today.  She said she was glad I came in.

Here's my contribution:

If you try to pay with a $2 bill the cashier will probably think you are trying to pass counterfeit money.

I had planned on going today, but our local Starbucks is sixty miles away, and our roads are a slippery mess after a couple inches of high moisture snow yesterday.

I will stop in next trip and make note of my reason for the visit.  I waste more than two dollars on crap, so why not make a statement with some.
