There's so much wrong with the whole topic, at so many levels.. I don't even want to go there..
However...
On a finer legal point, who determines "ownership" of the deceased? At what point does it pass to the State?
When my wife passed a few years ago, I had already made the calls, so that when she left me, I just had to call the undertaker and he came and took her, but I could have taken her home and buried her there (or not), too.. I was in Maine at the time, but the law governed health hazards from decay, not moral concerns.. I'm sure that the sex thing is illegal, but I've never felt the urge to inquire......
Anyway, the point of the reply was to pose the inde of who determines ownership after death... As much as one can in this country, we "owned" each other in life..
What a peculure line of thought..
