Because I live in "Realville". I also don't care if someone is gay or not, I can't stop it, but I'm also not going to condone it. Going back thousands of years homosexuality has been part of the world, in all cultures and societies. It is what it is.
However, I would expect a soldier in uniform to show respect and professionalism for the high standards instilled by that institution and tone it down at least until they got home, or go to the bar the "Velvet Spike" to reunite with all their boyfriends.

Just my humble opinion....
