I have no problem with the coach silencing the chants. I don't believe he should apologize though. This is a sport game, and in the spirit of sportsmanship you use discretion. Not every taunt deserves or demands a response, and there is nothing wrong with taking the high road and showing that you are better by not responding. The coach's statement should be that our team won the game, and I did not want our team or fans rubbing the loss in the face of our worthy opponents. If he goes beyond that I will ask what year he graduated from the BHO school of diplomacy.
