I Dolled Up My Rock River Arms 9 MM Carbine

Nothing too fancy. A Vltor E-Mod Stock, and a set of Midwest Industries 2 piece, 4- Rail handguards. Everything took less than 5 minutes to install. It sure looks and feels a lot better. The E-Mod Stock adds a full inch to the length of pull. I have long arms, and don't shoot in a ninja suit, so the extra length makes the gun feel a whole lot better. I put a E-Mod Stock on the the DPMS .308 as well. It really spruced it up.

The only problem was it made the overall length too long for it to fit in the case. So I had to go to Cabela's and get a longer one. On the way there I saw a hell of a wreck. A Volkswagen Beetle rear ended the crap out of one of those mini SUV's. A Ford Escape, or something like that. The whole front end of the Beetle was GONE. The SUV didn't look bad at all. The Beetle driver was messed up. They called an ambulance, and had her on a stretcher. I thought the new Beetles were kind of neat. But they're not worth a damn in a front end crash. That's for sure.

I forgot to say I bought a set of TAPCO full rail covers. They were cheap, (5, 6" long units for $11.00). But I'm not happy with them. They went on easy enough, but they look all wavy and crappy. Not nice and straight like the ones Bushmaster and LWRC ship on their guns. I'll try and screw with them a little more next week. If I can't get them to look right, I think I'll just go with the ladder type. Maybe I'll try soaking them in real hot water to soften them up.

Thanks. It does make the whole gun look more bad ass. I wish someone would make a .45 ACP AR-15. I'll bet they would sell the hell out of it.
